国指定史跡、弥勒寺官衙遺跡群(みろくじかんがいせきぐん)は、関市池尻の長良川畔を中心に広がる、古墳時代後期の方墳や古代の寺院・役所跡などが残る遺跡群です。

・池尻大塚古墳(方墳)

・祭祀遺跡の弥勒寺西遺跡

・弥勒寺跡(円空さんが廃寺になっていた弥勒寺を中興した)

・弥勒寺東遺跡(正倉院跡と郡庁院跡を含む)

などがあり、律令制下の地方官衙の営みの全てを考古学的に知ることができる、極めて稀な遺跡として注目されています。

The ruins of Mirokuji Local Goverment Offices, a designated national historic site, is a remarkable archaeological site located primarily along the Nagara River in Ikejiri, Seki City. It encompasses various remnants from the late Kofun period, including square-shaped burial mounds and the remains of ancient temples and administrative offices.

Key features of the site include:

・Ikejiri Otsuka Kofun (Square-shaped burial mound)

・Mirokuji Nishi Iseki (Remains of a ceremonial site)

・Mirokuji Site (Revived by the renowned sculptor Enku after its abandonment)

・Mirokuji Higashi Iseki (Includes the ruins of the Shoso-in and the local government office)
