④関善光寺

関善光寺には善光寺如来をご本尊とする本堂と、阿弥陀大仏をお祀りする大仏殿があります。本堂は長野善光寺を模して造られた荘厳な伽藍で、中には日本で唯一の卍型戒壇巡りがあります。

安桜山の山麓の立派な石垣の上にある境内からは市街を一望することができ、桜や紅葉の名所でもあります。

The main hall, which is dedicated to the Zenkoji Nyorai, is a majestic building modeled after Nagano Zenkoji. Under the main hall there is a pitch-dark passageway called Kaidan, where you can experience a sacred Buddhist world. The Great Buddha Hall enshrines the Amida Nyorai Statue.

From the temple precincts on top of splendid stone walls at the foot of Mt. Asakura, you can get a panoramic view of the city. The temple is well known locally for cherry blossoms and autumn foliage.
